A Sudden Loss at Walnut Ridge

It’s with sad hearts that we let all of our customers know that our longest tenure employee, Ike Humes – truly he had become a part of our family – has passed away. He was our first employee here at Walnut Ridge, starting in our first year in 1996. If you’ve purchased from us in the past, had service work done on your RV, or needed your RV moved in the campground, no doubt Ike had a hand in it.  Obituary to follow:

Noel Issac “Ike” Humes, 61, of Anderson died December 12, 2017, at Community Hospital after an unexpected illness.
He was born April 6, 1956, in Muncie, IN, the son of James Willie and Barbara (Lawton) Humes and following high school, he served in the United States Army.

Noel was an RV Technician with Walnut Ridge Family RV in New Castle for 22 years. He loved his work, enjoyed people and racing go carts. He was a collector of Jeff Gordon memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Andrea (Stanley) Humes of Anderson, four children, Jeremy Issac (fiancée Christy) Humes of Madisonville, TN; Andrew Scott (Amy) Humes of New Castle, Blake Lee (Caty) Humes of Anderson and Brock Andrew Humes of Carmel; six siblings, Carson (Cindy) Humes, Diane (Randy) Ridenour, Susie (Roy) Willey, Ronnie Humes, Robin (Randy) Buck, Rusty (Jackie) Humes; eight grandchildren, Aidan Issac, Masyn Allen, Garrett Andrew, Gracelyn Laine, Tanner, Emma, Hunner and Ava and many nieces, nephews.
